Way back in the early 90's, one of the most popular gaming genres was known as the "beat-em-up" genre. Think Streets of Rage or Double Dragon. You control a character that moves along, battling endless waves of bad guys. Bloody Zombies is the exact same concept, just modernized, and now featuring VR support. I was thoroughly entertained while playing this game, but I also know that this sort of thing won't appeal to everyone. The core gameplay can get extremely repetitive and monotonous in short order. Of course, the same could be said for Streets of Rage 2, quite possibly the best beat-em-up of all time. One thing I will say for this game, is that the production quality is extremely high. The musical score, sound effects and voice work are all extremely solid. It just has this polished feel that you don't often get with VR games.
