Compound originally arrived on the scene as a super cool demo you could download off Itch.io by an unknown developer by the name of "Not Dead". That demo later arrived on Steam, and we discovered that Not Dead is basically a one man operation. That man is Bevan McKechnie, who has now realized his life-long dream of becoming a professional game developer. He recently revealed that he quit his day job to work full time on making Compound as good as possible. The game is currently available on Steam, in Early Access for $19.99. It's gotten rave reviews from most that have played it, as it's hard not to fall in love with the retro stylized visuals on display. There's just something about the visuals that really remind me of a Sega 32X game from 1994 or 1995. It's incredibly colorful and fast, and features an awesome soundtrack by SPEEDBLACK.
