Sony Pictures Virtual Reality doesn't have the greatest track record so far in making VR versions of some of their most popular properties. Their Ghostbusters VR based efforts have mostly fallen flat. This time however, Sony has partnered up with Tequila Works, the outstanding developer of The Invisible Hours to create Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son. Yes, that Groundhog Day! It's been nearly 26 years since the Bill Murray classic hit theaters, and who would have guessed that the sequel would be of the interactive variety? Not only that, but a VR exclusive no less? Apparently, this production will feature around 8 hours of gameplay, with you taking on the role of Phil Jr. You'll be caught in your own Groundhog Day time-loop, and you'll need to figure out a way out of this mess.Â
