Pixel Ripped 1989 is one of the most interesting VR takes on the retrogaming phenomena. First we had New Retro Arcade Neon, and then we had Duck Season. Both games playing on Nostalgia like none other. However, when it comes to playing on Nostalgia, it seems as though Pixel Ripped might take things much, much further. The game is set in 1989, and it seems that you have a GameBoy like device called the GearGirl, and it appears you're in scenarios where you get to play a game on the portable, but then things happen around you. Also, it seems like the games from the portable start to leak into your outside world. All of this seems to be done in a way in which it may seems that you're looking at retro style holograms out in front of you. Similar to parts of First Contact for the Oculus Rift.
