Croteam's first foray into VR was Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope. While fans of the series were overjoyed at the thought of Serious Sam in VR, there were a few downsides. First off, this was basically a wave shooter with zero teleportation or movement. You stood in one spot and dealt with enemies coming at you in a 180 degree radius. This follow up takes the first Serious Sam game, and reworks it to function in VR. This means the entire single player campaign along with all the multiplayer modes. You can use teleportation for movement or trackpad locomotion for those with stronger VR sea legs. I honestly like the Second Encounter a bit better than this one, but I like both of them better than Last Hope. While Last Hope is a more modern version of the formula in VR, I love the fact that I can play through the full single player campaign with trackpad locomotion.
