Haven't played Space Pirate Trainer in months? The polish on this game is simply fantastic!

If you're anything like me, you probably bought Space Pirate Trainer a long, long time ago. Back then, you played the living crap out of the game, but you probably haven't fired it up in many months. Well my friends, it's time to dust off your space blasters and get right back at it. The game has now officially left Early Access and is open for business.

Space Pirate Trainer departed early access back on October 13th, but I didn't get around to trying out the finalized version until today. Holy Smokes! I had no idea what I've been missing. Developer I-Illusion has obviously been slaving away over the last 8 or 9 months, polishing this game to the fullest extent. If only all Early Access games saw this kind of improvement during their gestation period. Many EA games only improve mildly, if at all, but Space Pirate Trainer has the polish and spit shine of something truly remarkable. Everything is just so butter smooth. The production values have been improved, and performance is rock solid.

If somebody told me five months ago that I'd be jonesing for another Space Pirate Trainer game session, I would have looked at them like they were crazy. I normally don't revisit games so long after my original run with them. Every week, new and exciting games are releasing, so who really has time to look backwards? However, had I not given this game another go, it would've been a terrible mistake. Space Pirate Trainer has been polished and improved to such a significant degree, that VR Game Rankings might need to revise the game's current review score. Yes, it's that good.

It's now painfully obvious that Space Pirate Trainer is one of the clear-cut, classic VR games released to date.

There might be newer games with better graphics or special effects, but it's rare to be treated to the total package, and that is what I-Illusions has delivered. This game was one of the best Vive games at it's launch way back in April of 2016, but to see the game get improved this much gives us hope for so many other games still working out the kinks. This is an example of a developer going above and beyond the call of duty. I can tell you this, whatever game I-Illusions starts working on next, is going to be very high on my most wanted list, because these guys have proven their passion to deliver an incredible product.
