The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was originally released back in 2014, and then later, VR support was offered through DLC for a small fee. The fact that the game is only compatible with gamepad might very well turn a few people away. However, if you're able to get past this mild annoyance, the game has plenty to offer for fans of mysteries and exploration. The graphical detail is exceptionally good throughout and the story has a level of depth and intrigue that we aren't particularly overwhelmed with in VR at the moment. The game isn't without flaws, but there is enough here to recommend it for fans of the genre.
